Warmth for Homeless
Tuesday, December 23rd, 2008Bill #Â GE01520629
During the month of December the church I attend (Southwest Unitarian) is working in conjunction with LMM (Lutheran Metropolitan Ministries). They are collecting blankets, sheets, pillows, pillowcases, towels and wash cloths, for the homeless men in Cleveland. On any frigid night there are over 400 men sleeping in bunk beds, some even overflowing onto mats in their conference room.
Bedding  is washed and changed every single day and right now bedding is is in really short supply. This emergency shelter at 2100 Lakeside Avenue is the largest one in the state of Ohio, and they don’t turn anyone away.
So I took my $20 to help out a little and purchased blankets, sheets and a pillow.Â
